The Swiss Federal Railway are always looking to push customer experience and implement the newest technologies. After noticing that they had no consistent furniture system I decided to design a comprehensive system that could be implemented across all stations to create an icon for the SBB identity. Using new solar technology and natural plants and materials to increase customers comfort and experience when waiting at stations.     

The Solar charge table can be easily attached in the central slot of the bench. It is completely independent, with no need for mains power or cables. It uses multi junction cells to efficiently capture sunlight, even in low light conditions and a Lithium-ion battery in the stem stores enough power to fully charge around 30 full phone batteries.
